GOOD QUESTIONS.

Before you get started,
here are a few things to know.

Have another question?
Tell us how you plan to use it.

Can we use our existing access cards and readers?

The system supports keyboard-mode USB HID readers and NFC/RFID card IDs. Card numbers must be imported or linked first. Reader output and card compatibility are confirmed during setup.

Can someone check in without their card?

Yes. Staff can search by attendee ID or card number. A check-in is created only when there is one matching person.

Can we import and export Excel rosters?

Yes. Import .xlsx rosters and card records, plus supported HTML-table .xls files, with row-level issue checks. People, cards, and check-in records can be exported as .xlsx within the user’s access scope.

Can staff have different access scopes?

Yes. Five roles are available: superadmin, admin, data_admin, checkin_staff, and viewer, with team- or location-based access. Roles are configured for administration, data maintenance, on-site check-in, and viewing.

Can Dotin support different kinds of gatherings?

Dotin is designed for lectures, conferences, workshops, campus events, company training, and community gatherings. We confirm the attendee list and check-in workflow during planning.

Do we need to install software? Can we use it offline?

The management interface runs in a browser, so staff do not need a desktop app. Check-ins require an internet connection; offline check-in and automatic offline sync are not currently available.
